The strength of the 'African Woman'

“If you want anything said, ask a man. If you want anything done, ask a woman.”
― Margaret Thatcher

This is a a subject that I am very much passionate about because of the first hand experience I have witnessed when it comes to the strength of an African Woman; making reference to my mother. That is a story for another day, but can I point out now that my number one inspiration comes from her.

On a plane heading to Guangzhou, China at the moment as I type the write up, I had noticed right from the moment I got on the plane from Abuja and when we transited in Addis Ababa, it was majority women passengers. Where are they heading to? China. I had a conversation with a few, just some quick ones, nothing major. What I find amazing is their strength, and their persistence to make ends meet. Going as far as China, making a trade, come back home resell and off they go to China again. I must commend these industrious women which are the unsung heroes and driving force of our vibrant economies we have across the African continent.

I have nothing but praises for these women who take care of their families, and still go out there to contribute to the economy of the nations as well as that of their family and society in general.

I say to you; Kudos!

Viva African women, VIVA!
